How You Can Help Protect Private Property Rights in Wyoming

There are several ways you can help:

SPEAK UP! – Tell your elected officials and political candidates how important private property rights are to you and that you want stronger laws to protect these rights.
VOTE only for political candidates – in both the primary and general elections – who value private property rights and commit to work to strengthen and defend them.
SUPPORT Landowners Association of Wyoming and fellow private property owners in towns, cities and rural areas to ensure all private property rights are protected and not abused for another entities’ economic gain.
CONTRIBUTE financially to LAW to help with our costs to protect private property rights.

Join LAW if you believe:

Private property rights are an essential cornerstone to life in Wyoming and property owners in both urban and rural locations are equally entitled to protection of their private property rights.
Private property owners in towns and rural areas are constitutionally entitled to “just compensation” when their property is taken, and this should include replacement values rather than solely the appraised values, and initial damages for easements as well as compensation for the ongoing use of these private lands for the life of the project.
Federal public lands, rather than private lands, should be prioritized for projects that serve a “public benefit” rather than the present case which allows condemnation of private property to avoid federal permitting delays.
Powers of Eminent Domain should only be allowed as a last resort, and never to minimize costs or maximize profits of the condemners.
